Acetylated Distarch Adipate (E1422)
Dual-modified tapioca starch cross-linked with adipate rather than phosphate. The lighter bridge gives a shorter, creamier body than E1414 at comparable process tolerance, which suits dressings and dairy.

Hydroxypropyl Starch (E1440)
Tapioca starch etherified with propylene oxide and not cross-linked. The ether linkage resists hydrolysis where an acetyl ester does not, giving the most durable cold-storage stability available from a single modification.

Hydroxypropyl Distarch Phosphate (E1442)
The most capable grade in the range: cross-linked with phosphate and etherified with propylene oxide. Survives retorting, shear and low pH, and keeps its stability through a long cold-chain life.

Starch Sodium Octenyl Succinate (E1450)
OSA-modified tapioca starch carrying a hydrophobic alkenyl chain, which makes it an emulsifier rather than a thickener. The standard replacement for gum arabic in beverage emulsions and spray-dried flavour.

Acetylated Oxidised Starch (E1451)
Tapioca starch oxidised and then acetylated, combining the high-solids pumpability of an oxidised grade with the clarity and cold stability of a stabilised one. A film former and adhesive first, a thickener second.

Resistant Tapioca Starch
Tapioca starch that passes undigested to the colon and counts as dietary fibre on the label. A white, bland, low-water-binding powder that raises fibre and lowers available carbohydrate without the texture penalty of bran or inulin.

Pregelatinised Tapioca Starch
Tapioca starch that has already been cooked and dried, so it hydrates and thickens in cold water with no heat at all. Supplied at 8 per cent moisture against the 14 per cent of the uncooked grades.

Maltodextrin
Maltodextrin (CAS 9050-36-6) is starch hydrolysed only partway, to a dextrose equivalent below 20. It is bland rather than sweet, dissolves readily and is used as a bulking agent, carrier and fat replacer rather than as a sugar.

Sorbitol Powder
Sorbitol powder (E420i, CAS 50-70-4) is the crystalline form of the same sugar alcohol, used where a dry, direct-compressible bulk sweetener is needed. Unlike the liquid grade it is comparatively non-hygroscopic in the crystalline state.

Glucose
Glucose, also called dextrose (CAS 50-99-7), is the simple sugar obtained by fully hydrolysing starch. It is about 70 percent as sweet as sucrose, browns readily in baking, and lowers freezing point more than sucrose at equal weight.

Sorbitol
Sorbitol liquid (E420ii, CAS 50-70-4) is a 70 percent solution of the six-carbon sugar alcohol. Strongly hygroscopic, it is used less as a sweetener than as a humectant, holding moisture in confectionery, baked goods and toothpaste.

Confirm the evidence before ordering
Food-grade identity alone does not establish permission for every food or country. Confirm permitted use, limits and labelling requirements for the intended market. Certification availability must be checked for the nominated product and manufacturing site.
Product illustrations show representative material and packaging. The quotation confirms the actual source, grade, pack size and labelling.
