    Cobamamide (Adenosylcobalamin)

Cobamamide (Adenosylcobalamin) – Vitamins & Amino Acids product from Bio Green Foods

    About This Product

Adenosylcobalamin, traded as cobamamide, is the second coenzyme form of vitamin B12 and the one active inside mitochondria, where it serves as cofactor for methylmalonyl-CoA mutase in the metabolism of odd-chain fatty acids and several amino acids.

It is specified alongside or instead of methylcobalamin in supplements that set out to supply both active coenzyme forms rather than a synthetic precursor, and it is the form most often associated with energy-metabolism positioning because of that mitochondrial role.

Of the four cobalamins it is the most sensitive to light, degrading quickly under direct exposure, and it also requires protection from heat during processing. Handling under subdued light, opaque packaging and careful overage calculation are all necessary.

Supplied diluted on a carrier. Confirm assay, dilution and storage conditions at enquiry.
